Apartment handover: a 10-point checklist
What to check when receiving the keys — from wall geometry to system pressure.
The key handover is not a formality. Here is a checklist that turns acceptance into a one-hour task and saves your nerves and money.
What to bring
You will need a level, a tape measure, a phone charger to test sockets and a flashlight. All remarks go into the inspection act — the developer fixes them free of charge.
- Wall and screed geometry — deviations up to 5 mm.
- Windows: seal tightness, intact glazing.
- Pressure in heating and water systems.
Nine out of ten remarks are fixed within a week — as long as they are in the act.
